Day 23: Budva by the Sea: Might be Moving to Montenegro

Updated: Sep 12, 2022

Today, we went to Budva, a fortified town just down the coast from Petrovac. It is famed for its beautiful location, white sandstone and red roofs that are brought out by the blue Adriatic.

What a view... right on the sea! Took another panorama, and this is a good one.

We walked along the coastal path right in the city: Budva has the most interesting layered rocks.

Entrance to the fortified town

Posing with the famous statue!

We went to the most wonderful restaurant and ate with the sea at our feet.

The food was delicious. My favorite was the black risotto, which gets its color from cuttlefish ink! Also on this plate was octopus ceviche, surprisingly tasty.

My favorite part though was that when it got cold, they had blankets for their customers.

This was heaven sent since I started to get chilly.

I really enjoyed seeing this place, and the sights and colors and experiences (and all for a affordable prices) made for such a wonderful time. Who knows- I would love to come back sometime! They had veryyyy cute apartments overlooking the sea with a terrace for plenty of plants, so maybe someday when I have big girl money (and a plan)...

Ćao for now!
